A HOLY WOMAN, WITH BLOOD ON HER HANDS 022

There’s a woman in Scripture you probably haven’t heard of.

A devout Jew named Judith — a rich, gorgeous, widow living in a city under siege.

When the men lost heart and began planning their surrender, she didn’t complain or start a movement.

She put on SACKCLOTH, FASTED and PRAYED - until the voice of God was clear.

Then she dressed in her finest clothes, walked straight into the enemy’s tent with her closest friend, carefully used her assets for a couple days, then cut off the head of the general who threatened her people.

Quietly, carefully…obedient.

REVELATION replaced RAGE

PREPARATION replaced HUSTLE

When the time came, she didn’t ask permission. She simply moved.

We live in a world that celebrates noise, speed, and self-promotion.

But the holy ones?

They still move in silence.

They trade platform for prayer, comfort for fasting, spotlight for stillness.

Judith’s story exposes the lie that strength begins with self-expression.

It doesn’t.

It begins with self-denial…listening…formation in the shadows.

The world calls that PASSIVITY.

Heaven calls it READINESS.

REFLECTION:

Where in your life have you confused attention for anointing?

Have you been chasing impact without intimacy with God?

Judith’s power was born in hiddenness — yours will be too, if you return to silence.

HOMEWORK:

This weekend, carve out one hour with no phone, no music, no nada.

Pray a single line: “Lord, make me ready.”

Then sit in the quiet and listen.

Don’t post about it. Don’t tell anyone. Just begin where Judith began —

in stillness, fasting, and obedience.
